In efforts to reduce waste from plastic containers and bags, cellophane, and aluminum foil, Wellware containers are 100% sustainable.
What are Wellware containers made of?
All containers are made of three main materials: Platinum Silicone, Tritan and Polypropylene.
Why platinum silicone?
Platinum Silicone is a food-safe, petroleum-free, non-toxic rubber with no harmful chemical fillers or by-products capable of entering your food. The durable material never fades, scratches, or deforms, making it perfect for our collapsible design.
Why polypropylene?
Polypropylene (PP) is a food-safe BPA Free plastic that contains no harmful chemicals capable of leaching. It has a high heat tolerance, making it microwave safe. PP can come in both rigid and flexible forms, which made it the perfect choice for our modular design and leakproof lids.
Why Tritan?
Tritan is made without chemicals of concern, including, BPA, ortho-phthalate plasticizers and halogens. It creates long-lasting items with less breakage, waste, and energy loss during processing and shipping. It was the perfect material for our patented modular system.
Are containers recyclable?
Yes! Wellware has relationships with facilities that can recycle our products. Contact support@mywellware.com, and we’ll send you a shipping label and box for your container free of charge.
Microwave/Dishwasher/Freezer Safe?
Of course! The recommended maximum heat tolerance is 180 F (82 C). Containers, lids and utensils are top and bottom rack safe.
Are containers leak-proof?
All containers are secured with WellSEAL™. When the unique design of the lid’s living hinge interlocks with the container’s rigid wall, the downward force creates an airtight fit.
What if my container breaks OR I need a replacement part?
Don’t worry, we understand accidents happen. Fill out the contact form and provide details in the comments section of the form for our support team to get back to you. Once the request is validated, we will send you a box and shipping label for return, as well as, send you new containers/parts.
When will pre-orders be shipped?
All pre-orders are currently estimated to be shipped by 2023. We will send periodic updates on your order to inform you of any changes.
